(Memphis, TN / August 11, 2015) Carmalita "CC" Carletos-Drayton has joined Baker Donelson's Real Estate and Finance Group as a shareholder in the Firm's Memphis office.
Ms. Drayton focuses her practice on economic development and environmental law with an emphasis on water quality related to industrial discharges, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits, sewer systems and storm water infrastructure. She also has extensive experience with government contracting, including handling procurement matters, bid protests, and the draft and negotiation of all manner of government-related contracts such as public-private partnership agreements, encroachment agreements and lease agreements.
Prior to joining Baker Donelson, Ms. Drayton served as the Senior Assistant City Attorney for the City of Memphis. During her 14-year tenure in the city's Law Division, she was responsible for the management of the transactional department for all municipal matters, focusing on environmental transactions, public finance and regulatory compliance matters.
