(Nashville, TN/October 25, 2007) Charles K. Grant, a shareholder with Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC, has been named to a two-year term as board chair of the Nashville Business Incubation Center. He previously served as vice chair.
The mission of the NBIC, established on the campus of Tennessee State University in 1986, is to help grow and develop small/microenterprise businesses in the Nashville area. Since its inception, the NBIC has successfully launched 78 businesses and experienced a 90 percent success rate among its incubator member companies.
A member of Baker Donelson’s Labor & Employment Department, Mr. Grant has extensive experience handling complex employment litigation as well as commercial litigation and professional liability defense. In addition to his service on the NBIC Board, he is on the board of directors of the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands and is the board chair for Project Reflect, where he also serves on the Smithson Craighead Academy advisory committee.
