(Memphis, TN/October 10, 2011) On October 13-14, 2011, Christopher M. Caputo, shareholder in the Memphis office of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC, will co-chair the American Bar Association (ABA) 2011 Fall Meeting of the Forum on the Construction Industry in Atlanta, Georgia. The ABA Construction Forum is the largest professional group for construction attorneys in the country.
The meeting, "The Lay of the Land Dictates the Strategy Employed," will feature a series of plenary sessions and workshops focused on construction law.
Mr. Caputo, who practices construction law and litigation, represents and counsels public and private owners, contractors and subcontractors, suppliers, insurers, financial institutions and design professionals in Memphis, throughout the entire United States and abroad. He has extensive knowledge and experience in the negotiation and drafting of construction and development contracts and other supplemental agreements, including many of the standard construction forms used worldwide. Mr. Caputo is the author of numerous books and articles on construction law topics, and is a frequent lecturer on construction law for groups and organizations. A graduate of Colgate University and the University of Miami School of Law, Mr. Caputo has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a leading lawyer in the field of construction law. He previously served as the chairman of the American Bar Association Forum on the Construction Industry's Young Lawyers Division.
