During our March 21, 2024 Chat, we will provide an overview of pending employment legislation in the current session of the Maryland General Assembly, including the pending bill to amend the Maryland Time to Care Act, and we will dive into the "draft" Maryland Time to Care Act regulations recently issued by the Maryland Department of Labor. We will discuss the gamut, from definitions to "Equivalent-Private Insurance Plans," to claims and integration with employer-provided leave to educate employers about what to expect as the Maryland DOL continues its implementation efforts.
