During the first Chat of 2024, we summarize the key provisions of the Maryland Time to Care Act and update employers on the Maryland Department of Labor's progress regarding the Act's implementation, including information on employer and employee contribution rates and key milestones and deadlines for employers.
As a bonus, we also refresh the Maryland mini-WARN Act's provisions and discuss its newly proposed regulations, and we will summarize the recently enacted District of Columbia Wage Transparency Omnibus Amendment Act of 2023, which will require employers to disclose salary ranges and benefits to applicants for employment, among other obligations.
