Are your employee benefit plans keeping up with the times? The legal landscape for employee benefits is constantly evolving. The class action law suit recently filed against Wal-Mart for denial of benefits to same-sex partners under Title VII is just one example of the changing times. From the Supreme Court's decision on same-sex marriage to revisions of key IRS provisions, we will discuss recent changes in the law which may impact employer compliance and exposure to same-sex discrimination claims. We will also address employers’ upcoming reporting obligations under the Affordable Care Act and shared responsibility compliance concerns.
