Professional Biography


Angela R. Morris, a paralegal in the Memphis office, concentrates in the area of Intellectual Property. Ms. Morris has been with the Firm for five years and is responsible for both the prosecution and litigation aspects of Intellectual Property.
Ms. Morris' responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing docketing databases; obtaining and formatting specimens for trademark applications; preparing and filing trademark applications and patent applications; preparing Information Disclosure Statements for submission to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office; preparing and submitting office action responses, statement of use forms, and all other documents needed to obtain a trademark registration, including foreign applications. She also has experience preparing and filing Notices of Opposition and/or Cancellation for submission to the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board; drafting motions, notices, affidavits, declarations, discovery requests and/or responses for submission to the federal court in the Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas and Ohio districts; preparing court documents to be filed in state courts; preparing civil cover sheets, summons, and subpoenas for filing in federal courts; conducting legal research; electronic court filings with the Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas and Ohio district courts; client relations; coordinate foreign trademark and patent applications with foreign counsel; and attend INTA (International Trademark Association) annual conferences for continuing legal education in the area of Intellectual Property.
