Russell W. Gray and Tonya Mitchem Grindon Named to Baker Donelson's Board of Directors

(Memphis, TN / February 4, 2014) Russell W. Gray and Tonya Mitchem Grindon have been elected to Baker Donelson's board of directors. Mr. Gray and Ms. Grindon were elected by the Firm's shareholders and will serve three-year terms as members of the board.

Mr. Gray is the managing shareholder of Baker Donelson's Chattanooga office and is a member of the Firm's Labor & Employment Department where he concentrates his practice in litigation and labor and employment issues. His practice includes representation of local, regional and national clients on a full range of labor and employment matters, including wage and hour, drug testing, policy manuals, covenants not to compete, various employment forms, compliance advice and employment litigation. Mr. Gray also has more than 15 years of experience in commercial and business litigation, including litigation involving contractual matters, trade secrets, stock valuation and real property. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® and in Mid-South Super Lawyers since 2011. A graduate of the American University Washington College of Law, Mr. Gray is a member of the Chattanooga, Tennessee, American and Federal Bar Associations and is an adjunct professor at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Ms. Grindon, chair of Baker Donelson's Securities/Corporate Governance Group, is the first woman from the Firm's Nashville office to be elected to the board. She concentrates her practice in securities and corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, investment, management and international business transactions. Ms. Grindon was listed among the top 50 females in the mid-south in the 2013 edition of Mid-South Super Lawyers, has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® since 2008, and in Mid-South Super Lawyers since 2012.  In 2010, Ms. Grindon was named one of Law360’s Top Corporate Finance Attorneys in the United States under 40.  She is a member of the Nashville, Tennessee, Washington, D.C., Maryland and American Bar Associations.
