(Jackson, MS / May 3, 2016) Baker Donelson is pleased to announce that Wendy Huff Ellard has received the "Outstanding Service Award" from the Capital Area Bar Association (CABA) at the annual "An Evening Honoring the Judiciary" banquet.
The award is presented each year to CABA members who have provided exceptional services to the association. Ms. Ellard was recognized for her leadership as chair of CABA's Women's Initiative Committee and for her work assisting the Mississippi Women's Economic Security Initiative in developing its policy agenda for 2015-16 and supporting the Initiative's 2015 Policy Summit.
Ms. Ellard, an associate in Baker Donelson's Jackson office, focuses her practice in the areas of state public policy and disaster recovery and has extensive experience with legal and regulatory compliance issues under the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Recovery and Emergency Assistance Act. She was recently recognized with the American Bar Association's (ABA) Young Lawyers Division (YLD) "Star of the Quarter" award for her leadership within the organization. Ms. Ellard is a member of the National Emergency Management Association, the Mississippi Bar Association and the Mississippi Women Lawyers Association where she currently serves as President-Elect.
