William S. Painter Named Among Outstanding Healthcare Transaction Lawyers by Nightingale's Healthcare News

(Jackson, MS/January 10, 2007) William S. Painter, of the law firm of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC, has been named an Outstanding Healthcare Transaction Lawyer by Nightingale's Healthcare News, a newsletter for healthcare executives and professionals serving the healthcare industry. Mr. Painter is among 12 attorneys from across the country who were named to the list, which is published annually by Nightingale's. All 12 attorneys will be honored at an awards dinner reception held as part of the Eighth Annual Healthcare Transactions Conference in Chicago on April 19, 2007.

Mr. Painter was recognized for his recent work on healthcare transactions which included representing a publicly traded company in a number of ambulatory surgery center acquisition transactions and a large physician practice acquisition transaction as well as a number of different physician groups in establishing joint ventures with a large regional medical center in the areas of pain management, endoscopy, outpatient imaging and outpatient surgery.
