A Conversation with Jim Obergefell – "LGBTQ Equality and Civil Rights"

October 2, 2024
11:30 AM - 12:30 PM Central

Location:

Baker Donelson
1600 West End Avenue
Suite 2000
Nashville, Tennessee

Date/Time:

October 2, 2024
11:30 AM - 12:30 PM Central

A self-described accidental activist, Jim Obergefell was the plaintiff in the landmark Supreme Court case ruling that the fundamental right to marry is guaranteed to same-sex couples. Jim will join Corporate Shareholder Noah Kressler to discuss how Jim found himself in the center of the fight for marriage equality not by plan or desire to be an activist, but because he loved his husband. That experience changed Jim into a purposeful activist, dedicated to the ideals of civil rights and equal justice under law.

This event will be held virtually and in-person. Lunch to be provided for in-person attendees at the conclusion of the event.
