Briana Butler is an associate in Baker Donelson's Memphis office and a member of the Advocacy Department. She assists clients in a wide range of litigation matters, with a focus on antitrust disputes under the Sherman and Clayton Acts, 42 U.S.C. § 1983 lawsuits, and multi-district litigation. Her diverse practice also includes assisting banks and financial institutions with state and federal bankruptcy matters, creditors' rights litigation, and other banking and financial services disputes. Ms. Butler values pro bono work and is currently involved in a death penalty appeal in partnership with the Equal Justice Initiative.
Ms. Butler was a graduate research assistant at the University of Memphis and served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Bernice Donald of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Ms. Butler also clerked for the Honorable Rhynette Hurd of the Shelby County Circuit Court. Ms. Butler won numerous best oral advocate and best appellate brief awards during her time in law school.
Before joining Baker Donelson as an associate, Ms. Butler served as a summer associate at the Firm.
