FFCRA And The New CARES Act: What Do They Mean for Employers and SBA Loans?

March 30, 2020

March 30, 2020

Every day brings new developments in the federal response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Join Baker Donelson attorneys Adam Green, Karen Smith and Jeff Wagner as they address two areas of particular interest.

Families First Coronavirus Response Act
The newly-passed Families First Coronavirus Response Act created paid family and sick leave benefits for eligible employees who require leave due to covered needs relating to COVID-19. This webinar will explain the provisions of the Act that address this leave: the Emergency Family and Medical Leave Act and the Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act. We will also answer frequently asked questions about the application of this new legislation.

New Relief Options Under the CARES Act and the Small Business Administration
The Small Business Administration's Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) Program is now available to small businesses in most areas of the country. While this will be helpful to many, the provisions of new CARES Act may be better for some business owners. This session will provide an overview of both programs.
