Jamie Ballinger represents sophisticated clients in the energy/EV, retail, hospitality, and manufacturing industries. She has published articles with Bloomberg and Westlaw, and she leads the Firm's mentorship, coaching, and retention program.

Professional Biography


As a trusted advisor, Ms. Ballinger acts as outside general counsel to her clients. Her passions are connecting her clients with experts from the Firm's 36 practice groups and building legal teams to handle her client's needs – from compliance to litigation – across the Firm's 23 offices. She specializes in handling high-profile disputes that require both a legal and public relations strategy.

Ms. Ballinger also handles a wide variety of employment issues in both state and federal courts.

  • Built an industry service team to defend a large corporate client with premises liability litigation across the Firm's footprint.

  • Developed a legal and public relations strategy for a high-profile client in a dispute with a competitor regarding expansion of the client into a new market.

  • Regularly negotiates the exit of highly compensated corporate executives for clients.

  • Successfully resolved a commercial dispute under the International Sale of Good Treaty between a U.S. client and a foreign manufacturer.
