Professional Biography


Jean is a litigation attorney, concentrating her practice in nursing home litigation, child welfare, and complex commercial litigation matters for original equipment manufacturers in the automotive industry. She leads a team of attorneys and paralegals to navigate every stage of breach of warranty claims, from complex discovery issues and motion papers to team training and strategic planning.

Prior to law school, Jean worked in Washington, D.C., for United States Senate Republican Leader Trent Lott (R–MS); Congressman Thomas J. Cole (R–OK); and the Executive Office of the President of the United States under the Director of the National Economic Council and Assistant to the President for Economic Policy Stephen Friedman.

  • Provided counsel in nursing home arbitrations that resulted in defense verdicts.

  • Provided counsel in a nursing home trial in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi that resulted in a defense verdict.

  • Obtained summary judgment in nursing home cases alleging negligence and wrongful death.

  • Provided counsel in a health care contract dispute that was tried in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi that resulted in a defense verdict.
