Kristen Tajak is an experienced litigator and appellate attorney who focuses her practice in the areas of property and general liability insurance, commercial litigation, insurance coverage disputes, and contract disputes.

Professional Biography


Ms. Tajak is a Florida litigator and appellate attorney with more than 15 years of civil and commercial litigation experience focused primarily on the representation of insurance carriers and financial institutions in a wide variety of practice areas.

She has also represented insurance clients and financial lending clients in an extensive range of appeals, in many cases leading to significant developments in the law. As a member of the Firm's Complex Litigation and Class Actions Group, Ms. Tajak handles a broad array of state and federal court matters involving commercial litigation, first-party property litigation, insurance coverage disputes, and contract disputes. She also counsels and defends insurance carriers throughout the claim-handling and litigation process, including advising on pre-suit and post-suit matters, and providing coverage opinions.

Prior to joining Baker Donelson, Ms. Tajak worked for a Florida-based homeowner's insurance carrier, representing the carrier in all aspects of litigation, including pre-suit matters through trial and appeal.
