Baker Donelson's Bruce Doeg will participate in the panel discussion, Leveraging Outside Counsel to Identify and Implement Efficiencies so Legal Departments Can Do More with Less, during PLI's Legal Project Management 2025.

Companies continue to evolve and grow, as do their legal needs. However, many legal departments struggle to grow due to lack of time and resources necessary to identify and capture needed efficiency measures and opportunities for improvement, as well as applicable technology tools and platforms that could assist them in those endeavors. This session will present a case study of a law department and their outside counsel and their joint technology platforms and tools to further streamline vendor procurement and management in a rapidly evolving global company. After completing this session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand how legal departments use RFP responses to discern the optimal outside counsel(s) for their needs
  • Know how legal departments can encourage their outside counsel to implement efficiencies
  • Understand how to identify, capture, and report on matter data to assist law departments in meeting their existing business goals and strategize for the future.
