Mr. Kaufman advises an array of health care organizations, including donor hospitals, organ procurement organizations (OPOs), transplant centers, and tissue banks, on complex regulatory, public policy, and government investigation challenges related to organ donation and transplantation. He also assists state and local governments, as well as non-profit entities, in navigating the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) disaster recovery and mitigation programs, including grant management and compliance with federal procurement standards under 2 C.F.R. Part 200.
During law school, Mr. Kaufman served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Dawn H. Beam of the Supreme Court of Mississippi and as a legal extern for both Mississippi State Hospital and the Mississippi Department of Mental Health.
