Mr. Kitay advises clients such as architects, developers, contractors, and other design and construction professionals regarding accessibility compliance under the federal Fair Housing Act (FHA) and state/local building codes. He also defends clients in administrative proceedings under the federal FHA. Mr. Kitay has conducted hundreds of drawing/plan reviews for new multifamily projects to ensure accessibility compliance throughout all phases of design and construction. He also conducts onsite inspections of new and existing multifamily projects for assessment of accessibility compliance.
Mr. Kitay's practice also includes civil litigation with insurance defense and coverage litigation, which includes drafting of policies, motions, and discovery requests and responses.
