Professional Biography


Mr. Schiff serves as a strategic advisor and general counsel for closely held businesses and corporations in various industries including food, health, construction, mining and industrial manufacturing. He helps clients with corporate governance and structuring, acquisitions, litigation, agreements, succession and planning, as well as general business matters.

  • Represent a privately owned food manufacturer with products nationally distributed in their general business and corporate matters, including corporate governance, shareholder agreements, commercial agreements, and corporate succession planning, among others.

  • Represent distributors of industrial lubricants and petroleum products in the Southeastern United States.

  • Represent coal mining operation in all aspects of legal compliance including environmental.

  • Represent private business in their global endeavors, international relations and immigration needs.

  • Represent medical practices with contractual needs and regulatory requirements.

  • Represented a specialty health care organization in the sale to a joint venture combining a hospital, two oncology practices and our client.
  • Represented a printing company in the $4.5 million stock sale and long-term lease of a company-owned facility.

  • Negotiated with an Alabama utility on behalf of a steel processing company regarding the utility's plan to place a high voltage transmission line on the company's service road. The negotiation resulted in an agreement to reroute the transmission line.
