Mr. Hanlon is an associate in Baker Donelson's Baltimore office and focuses his practice on representing and advising corporate and individual fiduciaries (inclusive of trustees and personal representatives) as well as beneficiaries in disputes arising from the administration of trusts and estates.
Mr. Hanlon is an effective advocate, and his practice spans across Maryland and the District of Columbia. He takes a strategic approach to seeking favorable outcomes for the Firm's clients, which often includes pursuing methods of alternative dispute resolution to efficiently resolve disputes. Mr. Hanlon frequently works with corporate and individual fiduciaries to resolve potential disputes prior to litigation and is experienced in preparing nonjudicial settlement agreements and other instruments for that purpose. In addition to his fiduciary litigation practice, Mr. Hanlon possesses experience in a broad range of commercial and civil litigation matters, and he has represented both individual and corporate clients.
While attending law school, Mr. Hanlon served in public defense offices in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Fredericksburg, Virginia, and provided legal assistance as a student attorney to indigent clients charged with misdemeanor offenses in rural Virginia.
Prior to joining Baker Donelson in 2021, Mr. Hanlon served as a law clerk to the Honorable Pamela J. White in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. He was later an associate attorney at a midsized civil litigation defense firm in Baltimore.
