The America Invents Act introduced new proceedings for the post-grant review of issued U.S. Patents. Passed into law in 2011 and enacted in 2012, the inter partes review (IPR) procedure allows any entity to request that the U.S. Patent Office initiate a review of a valid, issued U.S. Patent.
Now that IPR is more than five years old, institutions of higher education are asking themselves whether IPR is a friend or foe. This webinar will discuss IPR proceedings with a focus on aspects that may impact public and private higher education institutions.
