Professional Biography


Robert concentrates his practice in corporate and real estate development matters, particularly in the formation and restructuring of corporations and partnerships, as well as the negotiation, due diligence review, and closing of real estate development deals. Additionally, he regularly assists clients across an array of sectors, including manufacturing, mining, aggregates, and transportation, in every aspect of contractual matters ranging from the negotiation and drafting to compliance and enforcement.

Robert assists publicly traded and privately held buyers and sellers on all types of transactions, including stock and asset acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, real estate purchases and sales, and commercial and office lease negotiations.

  • Assisted a concrete products manufacturer with the sale of all of its assets located in a major metropolitan area, in a transaction valued at more than $185 million.  

  • Assisted a multi-family real estate developer in the acquisition, development, and management of multi-family residential communities across the Southeast in transactions with values totaling over $200 million.

  • Assisted a recycling processing company with the sale of all of its assets in the southeastern United States in a transaction valued at more than $55 million.

  • Assisted a multinational mining corporation in the sale of all of its assets at a specific quarry.

  • Assisted a multinational mining corporation with ongoing review, compliance work, and enforcement of existing mining contracts and negotiation of new mining contracts.

  • Assisted a major automobile manufacturer in negotiating a mineral supply agreement, which included a $150 million investment by the manufacturer in the mineral company's production.
