Professional Biography


An associate in Baker Donelson's New Orleans office and a member of the Financial Services Transactions Group, Sam represents financial and corporate clients in a wide range of commercial finance transactions, including the financing of transportation assets such as aircraft, vessels, and railcars.

Sam handles transactions that routinely involve the structuring and negotiation of finance deals, including acquisition financing, tax credit equity financing, distressed debt financing, debt consolidation, and asset-based lending for institutional lenders, equipment finance companies, private credit firms, and borrowers.

Additionally, Sam represents business clients in corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity purchases, and leveraged buyouts. He provides corporate advisory services and ensures regulatory compliance. His practice also includes representing lenders, investors, developers, and public entities in diverse commercial real estate transactions, such as acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and development projects.

During college, Sam was a Division I scholar-athlete on the University of Mississippi's football team from 2010 to 2013.
